insta

Instagram is a photo and video sharing social networking service owned by American company Meta Platforms. The app allows users to upload media that can be edited with filters and organized by hashtags and geographical tagging. Posts can be shared publicly or with preapproved followers.

Recently I was facing issues related to Instagram where it was not allowing me to upload photos, stories, videos, etc. I also found that people are facing the “not Posted Yet Try Again!” issue. I tried to solve this issue and finally, after an hour I was successful to solve the error & here in this post I am going to share my experience with you so that you can solve this issue on your side too.

How To Fix Instagram Not Letting Me Post?

There could be several reasons why you’re unable to post on Instagram.

Here are some solution tips you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check your internet connection

Make sure you have a stable & high-speed internet connection. You can try connecting to a different network or restarting your router to see if that helps. If you feel a poor connection turn on & off the flight mode on your device.

2. Restart the Instagram app

Close the app and then open it again. This can sometimes resolve issues with the app.

To restart the Instagram app on an iPhone:

  1. Double-tap the Home button to bring up the app switcher.
  2. Swipe left or right until you find the Instagram app.
  3. Swipe up on the Instagram app to close it.
  4. Open the Instagram app again by tapping on the app icon.

On an Android phone:

  1. Open the Recent Apps list by pressing the Recent Apps button (it may look like two squares or a triangle on a square).
  2. Swipe left or right until you find the Instagram app.
  3. Tap the “x” or “Close” button next to the Instagram app to close it.
  4. Open the Instagram app again by tapping on the app icon.

Alternatively, you can also try force-closing the app and then reopening it.

To do this on an iPhone:

  1. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button (on the top of the phone) at the same time until the screen goes black and the app disappears.
  2. Open the Instagram app again by tapping on the app icon.

3. Update the app

Make sure you have the latest version of the Instagram app. You can check for updates in the app store on your device.

There are several ways to update apps on different devices:

On Android devices:

● Open the Google Play Store app
● Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the screen
● Tap “My apps & games”
● The apps that have updates available will be listed under “Updates available.” Tap “Update” next to the app to update it, or tap “Update all” to update all available apps.

On iOS devices (including iPhone and iPad):

● Open the App Store app
● Tap the “Updates” tab at the bottom of the screen
● If updates are available, you will see a red number next to the “Updates” tab indicating the number of updates available. Tap “Update” next to the app to update it, or tap “Update all” to update all available apps.

On Windows 10:

● Open the Microsoft Store app
● Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the app and select “Downloads and updates”
● If updates are available, they will be listed under “Updates available.” Click “Update” next to the app to update it, or click “Update all” to update all available apps.

On Mac:

● Open the App Store app
● Click on the “Updates” tab in the top right corner of the app
● If updates are available, you will see a red number next to the “Updates” tab indicating the number of updates available. Click “Update” next to the app to update it, or click “Update all” to update all available apps.

4. Check for system updates

If you’re using an older version of your device’s operating system, it could be causing issues with the app. Check for updates and install them if available.

To check for system updates on your phone, follow these steps:

Go to the “Settings” menu on your phone. This can usually be found in the app drawer or by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping the gear icon.

Scroll down and tap on “Software update” or “System update.” The exact name and location of this option may vary depending on your phone’s make and model.

If an update is available, you will see a notification with information about the update. You may be given the option to download and install the update immediately, or you may be asked to schedule the update for a later time.

If no updates are available, you will see a message saying that your phone is up to date.

It’s a good idea to keep your phone’s system updated, as updates often include bug fixes and security patches to help keep your phone running smoothly and protect it from potential threats.

5. Reduce Image/ video Size

This problem usually occurs when you try to upload a photo that you have taken from your camera. Most people don’t know this, but Instagram has set limits for file sizes

It is not unusual to see this problem when trying to download a file that has been captured in 4K or UHD quality. Sometimes they may take a long time to upload, but sometimes they won’t post at all.

To solve this problem, just reduce the file size before uploading. The maximum resolution you can use is 1936 x 1936 pixels for images. For video, the recommended format is H.264 with MP4 codec, a maximum resolution of 1080 pixels and a video length of 3 to 60 seconds.

You can do this through an app on your phone, or you can do this manually on your computer before transferring files to your mobile device.

6. Check for app conflicts

If you have multiple apps running in the background, they could be conflicting with Instagram. Try closing any other apps you have open and see if that helps.

7. Reinstall the app

If none of the above steps work, you can try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Instagram app.

If you continue to have issues with the app, you can try contacting Instagram’s support team for further assistance.
